MOSCOW, KREMLIN (VIRTUAL OUTDOOR TOUR): TRINITY TOWER

Moscow, Kremlin (Virtual Outdoor Tour): Trinity Tower

Many enter and exit the Kremlin through the late fifteenth-century "Trinity Tower" gate, which reaches a height of two hundred sixty-two feet. Napoleon and his troops penetrated the Kremlin here, only to be driven out shortly thereafter in 1812. The huge modern Palace of Congresses, visible to the left, is used for special cultural events.

Our virtual tour of the Kremlin ends here, as most of the other buildings (painted yellow like the Grand Palace) are for official governmental business and not open to the public. But you may continue through the gate into Alexander Park and a virtual photographic tour of Red Square, which lies just to the east.
